Overview *
Alcad d.o.o. is a company engaged in the development of information systems. At the beginning of our operations we were a computer centre in the company Impol d.d. and performed data processing. We established Alcad d.o.o. in 1995; employees wanted operations to exceed the then framework and enable marketing of the most comprehensive offer as possible of business applications and computer equipment in Slovene and broader area. Alcad's business areas: -development of applications for the support of business information systems, -marketing of computer hardware and software, -consultancy and training of users, -processing of data and data communications. We develop information systems with modern tools of object tehnology, visual programming, relation databases and Service Oriented Architecture – SOA. We direct our products into the environment of opened technologies which will enable personal computers, net computers and other client devices to work with net servers, data servers and servers of purpose application programs. Tools of products WebSphere, VisualAge, DB2 and related databases, transactional system CICS and products for integrate, simulate and optimize business processes help us reach this goal. We are business partners of IBM Slovenija d.o.o. for the sale of hardware and software and cooperate with IBM Slovenija in offering complete solutions in information technology field. In developmental fields, we participate in IBM developmental programs, and in Slovene space, we cooperate with the Center for Object Technology of the University of Maribor in developmental area, as well as with other companies and establishments engaged in information system development. We produce an integrated information system to be used in companies with modules, which are adjusted to the client's requirements. With solutions we help companies maintain their investments in existent technologies and at the same time ensure common functioning of main computers, client-server systems, Internet, intranets and distributed object software with new technologies. For this purpose we established our own developmental net center, based on the integration of PC LAN environment and zSERIES (S/390 Multiprise 3000). Our solutions include operating systems VSE, VM, Windows in Linux.

Solution/service name : Business ScoreCard Solution category: Business Intelligence, Business Integration Solution/service description: Business ScoreCard is Alcad's solution that uses a business model of the system of balanced scorecard (BSC) for measuring effectiveness and management of organization's abilities. Application solution helps at the implementation of organization's strategy. For chosen strategy, we first determine critical factors for success, balanced them and sort them into four perspectives (financial, process, buyer's, developmental). Finally, we determine indicators for each critical factor of success, which we use to measure, analyze and manage the processes. With the help of Business ScoreCard the solution enables monitoring and analyzing the operations efficiency. It supports the following processes: organizational scheme of the company, key areas and tasks of organizational units and workplaces or individuals, goals of organizational units and workplaces and annual interviews. Annual interviews are the key part of the communication system among the employed. They are carried out once a year, starting with the management team and on to each employee.
